1. Why are there flags in my front yard?

2. How do I find out what roadwork is happening in my neighborhood?

3. My mailbox was damaged by a snow plow, can the Town fix it?

The Town will replace mailboxes damaged during snow operations.  Please complete our online form to report it:  Mailbox Report Form

4. Does the Town pick up brush/tree limbs?

The Town of Webster does not provide this service. Exceptions are determined by Town and/or County officials and may include wind sheer, microburst, and ice storms.  Residents can check with their waste hauler to see if they can accommodate their needs.  If not, they will have to make arrangements with a private contractor. 

5. Does the Town provide a "Spring clean up"?

The Town does not provide a spring clean up.  Residents can check with their waste hauler company regarding pick up of brush, or branches.  

6. When is leaf mulch available for residents?

7. When do I need a permit?

If you are digging or excavating anywhere for anything in the ROW (right of way), you need a 149 permit from the Highway Department.

Driveways:

All driveway modifications require a permit whether you are just resurfacing or altering its original construction.

8. Does the Town pick up dead animals?

Yes we do, when they fall within the Town right-of-way. Call the Highway Department at (585) 872-1443 with the type of animal and location.

9. Who is responsible for the pond in my yard/neighborhood?

Most neighborhood ponds fall under the jurisdiction of the Town. The Town's responsibility is solely functionality of the pond. Aesthetics are not the Town's responsibility. The ponds are the Town's flood control mechanism.

10. Does the Town restore or armor damage from erosion?

The only time the Town remedies erosion damage is when it is an eminent threat to our roadways or utilities.

11. Why is the Town trimming/pruning trees in my yard/neighborhood?

Periodically the Town conducts this operation for longevity and maintenance of the roads, as well as, the safe passage by larger vehicles on the roadways.

12. There is a street light out on my street, who do I call?

Do you need to report an issue with a streetlight in your neighborhood?

Please complete the Online Form to report a streetlight concern.  

Town staff will review your report and determine the next steps to address the issue.  

13. Does the Town recycle Christmas trees?

Yes. You may drop off your Christmas tree at the Highway Department any time between December 26th and February 28th.
